Neuromodulators or neurotoxins in plastic surgery include the Botox –like medicines that are pharmaceutical versions of botulinum toxin A. Botox just passed its 20th anniversary of the FDA approval for cosmetic use. In that time, other products have come to market with more and different products on the way. Dr. Bass summarizes the current cosmetic uses, both the basic ones and more advanced treatments. Do you know where the 11’s, bunny lines, lipstick bleed lines, marionette lines and platysma bands are? Newer treatments like the Nefertiti lift and lip flip are also part of this family of treatments. Hear Dr. Bass describe what the treatment experience is like and explain why these treatments are the most common by far amongst surgical and non-surgical plastic surgery.
